Plan To Hold Onto Your Bliss!
Hello Lovelies,
The hype has well and truly begun!
Christmas is coming, Christmas is coming, Christmas is coming!
What are the thoughts running through your head right now?
What to do, What to make, Who to give to? Where to spend your money?
I have learnt three important lessons recently.
- The tightest plans may NEVER happen.
- Think carefully, write your ideas down if you like THEN let the ideas flow about a bit and
- Don’t make hasty decisions
OF COURSE
If you see a bargain that has your creative heart beating fast,
Buy what you think you will need and then walk away.
The guarantee is that what you have is all you will get!
I jazzed up these sweet metal birds ( less than 50 cents each) with Alcohol Inks
After they had dried I added detail with Paint Pens
My messy front door wreath has had many tweaks and changes!
MAKE RANDOM GIFTS
The world for so many has become a cold and lonely place.
The reasons are many.
So if you are a crafter your stash may be weighing your creativity down.
The Giving Season is the perfect time to be bold and generous too!
You probably don’t need to order from me
BUT if you do
Please know that small businesses are struggling
Keeping the dream alive and paying my bills is not an easy juggle!
Sara Naumann is one of my favourite PaperArtsy Designers.
Her designs are clean and so versatile which makes them perfect for many projects.
MAKE A CARD or A TAG or ??
Without a doubt my most appreciated small gifts have been sets of cards that I gave to care homes.
If you are going to make one why not keep your design simple and make six to give away?
BE AWARE of your ENERGY and EMOTIONS!
Above everything else I believe we should be honest about
- what you enjoy
- what you can contribute
- how you feel
I have gone from one son to eight more adult children and twenty eight grandchildren,
since my marriage to my Tongan husband.
When they all get together I can sometimes feel overwhelmed.
I have learnt to lean a little on the most supportive of the family.
What’s helping is honesty!
MAKE SOMETHING DIFFERENT
It’s really easy to get stuck when celebrations happen.
Jude makes the best pavlova, so she gets to make it forever.
Yes, that’s good but only if it suits Jude!
The little bags above gave me joy to make.
I woke up thinking about them one morning and made quite a few of them.
When I was working on the bags I glanced at the clock it was 4 am!
Isn’t that what the season should be about?
GIVE YOUR SMILE
It’s a tiny moment in this mad, mad world.
Until next time
Julie
